RARE TYPES: Nordics and Nordoids(usually blond Med-Nords) can be found in Greece. According to Anthropologist Aris Poulianos 4-7%(from area to area) belong to the "Northern-European type" and according to Carleton Coon 5% of Greeks are blond and this blondism is mostly Nordic in origin.

Nordicists claim the aristocracy of ancient Greeks was Nordic/blond just by using Homeric descriptions of the Iliad and Odyssey about some heroes and Gods. Besides that Homer had not live at the times of the trojan war and was a blind man who could not even see anybody, he didn't use "xantho" to describe the scandinavian-blond but anything lighter than dark brown/black haired, he used such color descriptions to raise interest of readers/listeners, as such colors always were rare among ancient Greeks and all south Europeans in general. Also there is case these color descriptions not to be even Homer's descriptions, as these two poems according to many scholars survived by oral tradition and everyone could add anything he liked. Anyway, Iliad and Odyssey are poems that combine history with fantasy and cannot be taken as serious sources about hair pigmentation of Greek aristocracy.
